San Diego in August

“Summer’s lease hath all too short a date.”

William Shakespeare

San Diego is such a beautiful city with so much to see and so much to do!

When it comes to things to do and the weather, San Diego in August is among my favorite times of the year.

Despite being the hottest month of the year in San Diego, August is still pretty comfortable with highs in the mid- to upper 70s. The start of the surfing season coincides with the peak of the sportfishing for tuna.

Due to the city’s abundance of family-friendly attractions, San Diego experiences high tourist traffic throughout summer long. However, when the season comes to a close, and people flee the heat in Phoenix and other hotter places, San Diego experiences even more tourist traffic.

Each month I have special fun events I want to show you so that you get the most out of this beautiful city!
