San Diego in August

San Diego is such a beautiful city with so much to see and so much to do!
August is San Diego’s hottest month of the year, but it’s still quite pleasant with temperatures in the mid to high 70s. Surfing season begins, and tuna sportfishing season is in full swing. San Diego August weather along the coast is just perfection. It may get a little cloudy early in the morning but it usually burns off so that you can just hang out in your beachwear for the rest of the day, well into the evening.
All of summer is a busy tourist time in San Diego because of its many family-oriented attractions, but the crowds get even worse toward the end of the summer when visitors from Phoenix and other hotter places head to San Diego to escape the heat. But don’t get me wrong, it is still hot here!
