San Diego in July

“I love how summer just wraps its arms around you like a warm blanket.”

― Kellie Elmore

San Diego is such a beautiful city with so much to see and so much to do!

July is the peak of San Diego’s tourist season, with lots of families on vacation and Arizona residents looking to escape the heat. Despite being California’s southernmost big city, San Diego stays cooler than Los Angeles, thanks to the effects of the ocean.

San Diego in July has lots of daylight hours to explore the city’s attractions. It’s not likely to rain and temperatures are not too hot, almost just right. Those July nights are perfect summer nights. It’s hard to predict San Diego’s July weather ahead of time. In some years, skies will be clear all month, but other times, the weather phenomenon nicknamed June Gloom can persist into the first few weeks of July.

Each month I have special fun events I want to show you so that you get the most out of this beautiful city!
