San Diego in September

“…there is a clarity about September. On clear days, the sun seems brighter, the sky more blue, the white clouds take on marvelous shapes; the moon is a wonderful apparition, rising gold, cooling to silver; and the stars are so big. The September storms… are exhilarating…”

Faith Baldwin

San Diego is such a beautiful city with so much to see and so much to do!

With the throngs of tourists receding from the beaches and less chance of fog or rain, September makes a great window for traveling to San Diego. The month is packed with alfresco concerts, culinary happenings to celebrate California’s fall harvest, and the largest military air show in the U.S., and rounds out with Restaurant Week.

San Diego maintains warm temperatures throughout the year, but mid-September through mid-October is especially comfortable. After the summer crowds have gone and the kids are all back in school, San Diego sunshine is still around, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy the local beaches or just the city itself.

With perfect weather and amazing beaches, whether you are visiting for the first time or have been hanging out in San Diego for years, there are plenty of things to do in San Diego for adults and kids alike.

Each month I have special fun events I want to show you so that you get the most out of this beautiful city!
